Give a month, get a month

Share your link with another teacher. They get a free month of Pro when they sign up, and you get a free month of Pro when they make their first test.

What your colleague gets

One free month of Pro, starting the moment they create their Compose account through your link. No card is asked for.

What you get

One free month of Pro once your colleague makes a test from their own questions that's finished and ready to print. Compose's sample test doesn't count. Your month usually shows up within a day, or straight away the next time you open More.

Then the month you earn comes off your bill: a credit of one month's price ($4.99 on monthly, $4.17 on annual) is added to your account and used on your next invoice.

When a free month starts and ends

A free month lasts one calendar month. Earn another while one is running and it starts the day the current one ends, so months stack. When the last one ends you're back on Free. There's nothing to cancel and nothing is charged.

  1. 1Log in to Compose.
  2. 2Tap More in the bar at the top.
  3. 3Below Tools, find Give a month, get a month and tap Copy link.

Your link ends in /r/ and eight letters and numbers. The same card shows how many months you've earned.

The fine print

  • Only a brand-new Compose account counts, made through your link. A teacher who already has an account can't be added later.
  • Each account can be brought in by one teacher, once. You can't use your own link.
  • Your link is remembered in that browser for 30 days. If someone opens two teachers' links, the first one counts.
  • Your colleague has 180 days from signing up to make that first test. After that, their signup no longer earns you a month.
  • You can earn up to 12 free months in any 365 days. Past that, colleagues who sign up still get their month; yours start again as older ones fall outside the 365 days.
  • Your link can give a free month to up to 50 new teachers in any 365 days.
  • If your colleague's account is deleted before they make a test, there's no month to earn. A month already given stays given.
  • The bill credit for paying teachers needs an active subscription when the month is earned. Starting to pay during a free month doesn't push your billing back.
